Description
Darjeeling is the famous hill station in the North East India where you can get the best glimpses of the beautiful Himalayan ranges. The trip to Darjeeling is fun filled, yet involves a lot of physical exertion. It’s a “must-do” for the sporty and adventurous. There are numerous historical and cultural attractions too.
DAY# 1 New Delhi
Guests are picked from New Delhi airport and are transferred to hotel. Visit important places in New Delhi and Old Delhi. Overnight at hotel in Delhi.
DAY# 2 New Delhi - Bagdogra - Darjeeling
Board a flight to Bagdogra. Guests are picked from airport and are transferred to Darjeeling- a four hour drive by road. Check in at Darjeeling hotel for overnight stay. Rest, sightseeing and leisure for rest of the day.
DAY# 3 Kanchenjunga - Darjeeling
Get up at 3:00 AM in the morning and walk up to Tiger Hill to watch the sunrise over Kanchenjunga. Visit Batasia Loop and Ghoom Monastery while returning. Spend the rest of the day for leisure or Toy Train ride. Overnight at Darjeeling hotel.
DAY# 4 Darjeeling
The 4th day completes the tour of Darjeeling with a visit to Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Zoological Gardens, Gombu Rock, Tea Estate, Tenzing, Japanese Temple, Peace Pagoda and more. Overnight at Darjeeling.
DAY# 5 Darjeeling - Gangtok
After breakfast, drive to Gangtok (100 Kms/3hrs). Check in at hotel and take rest. Visit Ganesh Tok and Hanuman Tok and Namgyal Institute of Tibetology as well as other attractions like Banjhakari Falls, Tashi View Point, and Rumtek Monastery. Overnight at Gangtok.
DAY# 6 Gangtok
Proceed to Tsongo Lake, a glacial lake in East Sikkim. Pay a visit to Baba Harbhajan Temple and Nathu La Pass- a mountain pass in the Himalayas which connects the Indian state of Sikkim with China's Tibet Autonomous Region. Special permit is required to visit these places. Overnight stay and dinner is in hotel.
DAY# 7 Gangtok- Bagdogra -Delhi
After breakfast, depart for Bagdogra Airport. Board a flight to Delhi. Upon arrival, guests are received at the airport and sent back to their hometown.
