Description
The trip to Amarnath/ Vaishno Devi is considered as one of the most gratifying pilgrimages in India. The astonishing stalagmite formation in the form of a lingam in Amarnath and the three pindis at Vaishno Devi that embody the three super powers of Maa bestow an unforgettable divine experience to travelers.
DAY# 1 Delhi To Jammu
Guests arrive at Delhi and are taken for a city tour till evening. They board a night train to Jammu.
DAY# 2 Jammu To Katra
Arrive at Jammu early in the morning. Visit the city during the day. In the evening start for Katra. Upon arrival check in at the hotel. Overnight stay in the hotel.
DAY# 3 Katra To Mata Vaishnao Devi Temple
Start upward trekking to the hills of Mata Vaishno Devi early in the morning. The 16-km journey takes approximately 6 hours to complete. Throughout the journey pilgrims are provided with all facilities like food, inn and wash rooms. If required the service of pony and pittu are available. On the way visit Adkwari, where almost half of the journey gets completed. Reach the destination in the afternoon. After darshan start trekking back and reach Katra by evening. Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY# 4 Katra To Srinagar
Start the trip to Srinagar by car. Overnight stay in Srinagar in a luxurious house boat.
DAY# 5 Srinagar To Sonmarg
Drive to Sonmarg early in the morning. Check in at the hotel upon arrival. Visit Thajwas Glaciers.
DAY# 6 Sonmarg - Sri Amarnath – Sonmarg
Trekking to Holy Cave of Amarnath starts in the morning. The journey is 16 km long. During the trip pilgrims are provided with all facilities like food, rest and wash rooms. After darshan, trek down to Sonmarg. Reach the hotel in the evening. Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY# 7 Sonmarg To Srinagar
Start the journey to Srinagar in the morning. Upon arrival, visit the city to watch the marvels of nature. Overnight stay in a luxurious house boat.
DAY# 8 Srinagar To Jammu
Return to Jammu to catch a train to Delhi.
DAY# 9 Delhi
Reach Delhi in the morning. Move to respective destinations.
